so like, what's up with the word "fiesty"? i think that it is mostly used by men and in a completely patronizing and condescending way. it seems to characterize any woman who even remotely has a backbone. with the added bonus of making the assertivenes "cute" and therefore very unthreatening to said male. which is why it thoroughly perplexes me that women use it about other women. as a compliment. that just seems wrong.
after a particularly vitriolic rant directed at my TV in which i ripped j.r. ewing a new one, my roommate richard told me that i had a way with words. i think that was his gently sarcastic way of saying he thinks i swear too much. i said thank you anyway.
