this is totally so weird! yesterday when i was standing in front of the commerce building waiting to meet barbiedoll for lunch (she never showed up, humph!), i totally saw my r.a. from when i was a freshman at iowa! not only was that like 10 years ago? but like, what the fuck is she doing here???? and i heard the woman she was talking to tell her that they were gonna give her a good dose of irish culture (the phrase she used was "dei-dly"-which i have never seen spelled, only heard spoken so that's spelled phonetically, you know, like diddly but with a long "i") because she apparently had been to a thai restaurant the night before (i cringe at americans here-but which is worse? americans who come here for that dei-dly shit or irish people who foist it on them? chicken or egg, man). which i guess is illegal if you're a tourist in dublin. so she appeared to be visiting for some reason but since i failed to talk to her, i don't know what that reason was. it was just so strange. i mean, i never expected to see anyone here that i knew from the states because the odds would just be ridiculous, right? but i haven't even thought about her for like, just years and, well, it was just very strange.
